We love brides-to-be who make a fuss of their bridesmaids from start to finish. We know they’re going to be dazzling on the day, but how can you ensure a brilliant time for your bridal entourage even from the start of your wedding planning?
For us, we think it starts with one simple question: “Will you be my bridesmaid?” There are so many fantastic ways to pop the question to your best girls. These are the ladies who are going to be your A-Team throughout your planning process, so it’s nice to make them feel included and appreciated. Whilst you don’t necessarily need to get down on one knee, we absolutely think that such an important question deserves more fanfare than just a text message or a passing comment in conversation!
We also like the idea of allowing your bridesmaids to have their own say about what they get to wear on your big day. The other thing that also seems to be a hit is for the bride to ask each bridesmaid individually in separate ways. This makes each friend and relation who you ask to be on your bridal squad feel that they are personally valued. As you have a different relationship with each one of your bridesmaids, it makes sense to ask them to be part of your wedding in a different way that is reflective of the ways in which you know each other.
The main thing to remember is that however you choose to recruit your bridesmaids, make sure you have fun doing it! They’re going to be the ones helping you DIY dozens of favours and the ones responsible for getting you to the church on time, so you may as well make a whole bunch of brilliant new memories with them along the way!
