When we throw an event, we like to think of it more like a little party for our friends, albeit friends who just happen to be beautiful brides-to-be. As such, our Aisle Style event at Perfect Day Bridal on 23rd June which featured bridesmaids dresses from Maids to Measure, accessories from Vivien J and shoes from Harriet Wilde felt distinctly more like a girly get-together than work.
Not only did we see a whole host of Perfect Day brides, we also had visits from lovely brides-to-be who had bought their wedding dresses elsewhere but brought their bridal party with them to suss out the styling for their ‘maids from top to toe. With the benefit of having the full bridesmaid collection from Maids to Measure on site, our changing rooms were in constant use as girls slipped in and out of these glamorous gowns all day long.
We definitely started to see that there were a few favourites that went into the changing rooms over and over again and enjoyed seeing how much our stylish band of bridesmaids loved having the option to customise each gown to their own specifications. We were of course thrilled that many brides placed orders for their bridesmaids and are delighted that so many bridal parties will be stepping down the aisle in Maids to Measure style.
The shoe collection from Harriet Wilde was a great crowd pleaser with everyone, as we knew it would be thanks to the glamour, sophistication and style that they offer to bridal kicks. It turned out that everyone (including us!) enjoyed strutting their stuff in these gorgeous wedding shoes.
Hannah and Jan of Vivien J Accessories were absolutely rushed off their feet, frosting brides and maids alike with their couture wedding accessories. Emma and a team from concept salon Pamplemouse in Calne were on hand to help style hair and create a polished look that complimented the gorgeous array of Vivien J pieces. Our guests absolutely loved having a whole glam squad at their fingertips and we loved having the Pamplemouse posse in the boutique with their amazing skills.
These mini hair trials certainly whet the appetite for many brides and bridesmaids, especially when they found out that the girls would go to their wedding venues to dress their hair, rather than having to go to the salon. In addition to the team of hairdressers, we also had make-up artist Teresa Jolly in store and whilst she was a hit with our guests, you also couldn’t keep us away from this one!
As if having Pimms on tap wasn’t decadent enough, we were also delighted to welcome Trudy from Jelly Cake, who supplied some beautiful cake samples for everyone to try. Can there be any greater pleasure in life than looking at beautiful fashion whilst nibbling delicious cakes?
Finally, the wonderful Natalie Lovett from Love To Plan joined our Aisle Style event and provided invaluable wedding planning advice to our brigade of brides-to-be. As well as picking her wonderful brains, our guests were also able to enjoy some of her gorgeous vintage hire sets, which so perfectly compliment the vintage-inspired theme of many of the wedding dress collections we hold here at Perfect Day Bridal.
We were so excited to show off our new range of designers to our clients and so pleased to see that they loved the new collections as much as we do. Our Aisle Style event was the perfect opportunity to make a fuss of the other ladies in the bridal party apart from the bride and proved that each lady who trots down that aisle simply wants to look her best!
The event was a total success and we are indebted to all the excellent suppliers who collaborated to create a unique, memorable event for our brides and bridesmaids. We’re very much looking forward to future styling events at the boutique!
