There are those who think that the epitome of chic is a minimalistic palette of black and white. If you’re one of them, you might want to consider monochrome as your wedding theme. We’re big fans of how simple yet effective this styling is. It’s elegant without being overly feminine, meaning it’s perhaps a much better reflection of the groom’s input (not that we’re saying grooms don’t love a hot pink colour scheme…!).
Stripes and chevrons have been big in wedding world for the past 18 months and we think they look particularly striking in contrasting black and white. There’s something sleek and geometrical about this look that instantly pulls your styling together. The graphical lines and juxtaposing ends of the colour spectrum certainly add a touch of drama.
In terms of bridal style, we love a good sash here at Perfect Day Bridal and find this to be the perfect accessory to incorporate an ebony tone to your big day look. Alternatively, think about your accessories and how you can inject some drama with perhaps dark beaded headpieces or jewellery.
You can soften the look slightly with a third colour if necessary. We like a soft blush pink for the subtlest of hints of colour, but we really love a splash of gold against the black and white wedding colour scheme for an unapologetic nod to insatiable glamour.
