Well, we’ve seen a lot of rain and we’ve seen a lot of wind so far this winter, with the kind of jet streams that keep us awake at night as they howl around the neighbourhood, but we’ve seen very little actually cold weather. There’s been no glistening frost in the mornings, no fluffy clouds with the threat of snow and absolutely no sign of the white stuff at all.
That’s why we wanted to put together a frosty inspired styling moodboard for you guys. (There’s nothing like living vicariously through your blog post, is there?!) We took the gorgeous ostrich feather additions from Charlie Brear as our starting point and leapt off from there into a world glinting with metallic accents, touches of nature and a clean, simple palette.
For us, winter weddings provide the perfect excuse to lavish fairy lights on, in and over everything you can think of. We adore the idea of an altar created with a curtain of twinkling lights and we know that they provide the perfect ambience for a winter wedding reception, when the dark evenings draw in only a little later than lunchtime!
The pragmatic winter bride will of course invest in a pair of sturdy, stylish boots to don underneath her wedding dress, but we couldn’t help including these Charlotte Mills shoes that have stolen our hearts as well. Finishing the bridal outfit off with an array of gorgeous, glinting accessories and you will be picture perfect for your winter wedding day.
