We thought we’d take a look at the year that was 2013 with a review of some of our favourite celebrity weddings. You can always rely on the rich and famous to throw a wedding that makes the rest of us sit up and pay attention. Of course, given that we’re in the business of bridal wear, we feel it’s part of our job description to make sure we’ve scoured every corner of the internet for the matrimonial activities of stars and starlets across the globe!

First up has to be Made In Chelsea‘s Millie Mackintosh who wed Professor Green at beautiful Babbington House in Somerset at the start of September. Whilst we thought that the Prof looked dashing in his slimline, single-breasted blue suit and that the bridesmaids cut an adorable entourage in their fresh flower crowns, we absolutely swooned over Millie’s peplum dress. The vintage lace Alice Temperley wedding dress was the perfect choice for an English rose styled wedding and was made all the sweeter by the bride’s choice of braided updo. Love love love!

Another bride to opt for the house of Temperley was chanteuse Kelly Clarkson. Happily, the new Mrs Blackstock wasn’t shy about sharing her wedding video (above) so we can all swoon together about the romance of this gorgeously intimate ceremony. The sunflowers in that bouquet are the perfect pop of colour against the stunning autumnal background of Nashville, Tennessee.

And thank goodness for Twitter and Instagram, otherwise we might never have seen how extraordinarily stunning Christina Ricci looked in her Givenchy wedding dress when she got married in New York. “The haute couture gown featured a mini pearl embellished top with lace sleeves and cutouts at the shoulder. The silk tulle skirt included a train which complimented the shorter tulle veil,” trumpeted E! Online.

And obviously we had to mention the lavish Big Sur wedding of former Facebook fiend Sean Parker to Alexandra Lenas. The fact that the converted a national park into what was, basically, the Lord of the Rings set, says pretty much all you need to know!
