Nothing adds the perfect finishing touch to your wedding day look quite like carefully selected bridal accessories. At Perfect Day Bride, we are HUGE fans of headpieces, jewellery and super gorgeous shoes and we really love helping you get your glitz and glam on in our Shoe & Sparkle Bar. So, if you’re wondering what you need to know about bridal accessories, read on…

Firstly, you need to know that the ‘perfect combination’ of accessories is that which suits you. Your accessories give you the chance to really make your wedding day ensemble yours and you can make a bold statement or go for a more classic look. The choice is yours and whatever opt for, we can help you.

So, let’s start with shoes because, let’s face it, they’re pretty important! We stock the heavenly designs of Harriet Wilde and the fresh and pretty shoes of Charlotte Mills and both designers have a very individual look. Harriet Wilde shoes are opulent and stunning and can be a brilliant counterpoint to a refined Jesus Peiro gown or alternatively, they can hold their own against the embellishments of Anna Campbell. The romantic Charlotte Mills shoes look ace with Naomi Neoh and their contemporary styling works well with Charlie Brear too.

However, with shoes, the most important thing is that you’re comfortable. You don’t want to have to hobble off the dancefloor or head off on honeymoon with blisters so you need to choose your wedding shoes with your head as well as your heart! We thoroughly recommend breaking your shoes in at home (slip an old pair of socks over your shoes while you do if you’re worried about getting them dirty) and some brides rough up the soles a little with sandpaper to avoid slipping.

Right, now let’s talk about headpieces and jewellery. Again, we’re got a range of styles in the boutique from the delicate delights of Marie Canning to the exquisite handcrafted work of the award-winning Vivien J. Brow bands, headbands, hair vines and hair clips await you not to mention necklaces, earrings and bracelets.

If you don’t know where to start, let’s talk. Let’s talk about your wedding style, the time of year you’re getting married, how you might wear your hair and what gown you’re wearing. From there, we can suggest things to try and we promise you, once you start trying on the accessories and seeing how they can transform your look, you’ll try pieces and combinations that you’d never have imagined.

And that really is all you need to know about bridal accessories – the right combination for you is the one that makes you happy and feel fabulous. It really is as simple as that. We love to help you but if you’re in love with your wedding day look, that’s all that matters.

Our Shoe & Sparkle bar is open to all, even if you’ve not bought your dress from Perfect Day Bride so just get in touch to find out more or to arrange a time to come in and try whatever you’d like – we’ve also got veils, belts and much more so what are you waiting for? Accessory heaven awaits…
